Emma Harte

Emma Harte has specialised in family law since 1992, having been a solicitor and associate at Penningtons and Gordon Dadds before becoming a partner on the formation of AFP.

Emma is recognised in Legal Experts Directory as a specialist family lawyer and has been recognised since 2003 in the Chambers and Legal 500 Directories as a leader in her field. Chambers Directory has commended her for her "kind, common-sense and practical approach" and described her as a "tactically adroit performer" "of whom a number of clients could not speak highly enough".

Emma is a Resolution accreditated mediator, a trained collaborative lawyer and past Chair of Resolution's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. She is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She has also contributed to the Resolution Handbook first published in 2007 (chapter on Alternative Dispute Resolution) and the Resolution Family Disputes Handbook published in 2010.
