Sara Hannell

Sara Hannell has specialised in family law for some 15 years. She was a solicitor at Penningtons and Gordon Dadds and was made an associate on the formation of AFP, before becoming a partner in 2003.

Sara has been recognised annually in the Chambers Legal Directory since 2006 and Legal 500 since 2004 as a leader in her field. Chambers praises her for her skills as a collaborative lawyer and has described her as "challenging, energetic and really knows her stuff", "always proactive and gives really rational and realistic advice" and "an independent, efficient and no-nonsense lawyer who can hold her own in the high net worth divorce market".

Sara is a member of Resolution and a trained collaborative lawyer. She has also been elected a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has appeared in a Channel 4 documentary and has commented on the legal issues arising from family disputes on national and local radio. She has also lectured on developments in family law and writes for the legal press.
