Susan Philipps

Susan is recognised in Legal Experts Directory as a specialist family lawyer and has been recommended annually since 1993 in Chambers and Legal 500 Directories as a leader in her field. Susan has been involved in some very high profile reported cases and has been described in the press as being "tough, clever and a very good person to have on your side". Chambers Directory has described her as "incredibly committed to her clients" "extremely straightforward and to the point" and says that she "never gives up - she will always go the extra mile".

She qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and became a partner at Penningtons in 1986, heading the family department from 1994-1999. From 1999-2001 she was a partner with Gordon Dadds before leaving to become a founding partner of AFP.

She is a trained mediator and trained collaborative lawyer. She is also a member of Resolution and a Fellow of the International Academy of Family lawyers.
