Susan Philipps has specialised in family law for 19 years. She is recognised in Legal Experts Directory as a specialist family lawyer and has been recommended annually for the last 8 years in Chambers Directory as a leader in her field. She qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and became a partner at Penningtons in 1986, heading the family department from 1994-1999. From 1999-2001 she was a partner with Gordon Dadds before leaving to become a founding partner of AFP.

She is a trained mediator and member of the Solicitors Family Law Association and serves on its Education Committee.
